Peanut Brittle
See the ALLERGENS & NUTRITIONAL INFO. tab below for further ingredients' details
A classic American treat, there are a few suggestions as to how Peanut Brittle was invented, from Civil War soldiers to a happy accident of adding baking soda to a taffy recipe instead of cream of tartar. By far our favourite comes from American folklore, however. Legend has it that peanut brittle was created by accident by a lumberjack who stopped a flood by using giant peanuts and molasses. When the mixture set, the lumberjack realised it tasted amazing and peanut brittle was born.
